Sometimes as Christian educators in Christian schools it's easy to think that only religious schools are the ones sharing God's message with students. It's a good reminder for us to think about Christian teachers who work in public schools.
Arguably, Christian teachers in public schools face more challenges and restrictions in sharing the Gospel message. It's crucial to keep in mind both private and public schools are areas to witness and that Christian teachers in all areas should be upheld and supported. No doubt you have fellow friends that are Christians and teachers. Perhaps you have both. One way is to pray for our fellow Christians and comrades in the Lord's missions is essential.
Another way to help these teachers is to give encouragement. If you're looking for ideas, here's a book you can recommend! In a soon-to-be released book entitled Dear God, Welcome Back to School by Vanessa Frazier, Christian teachers in public schools can find encouragement and refreshment in God's promise and direction.
According to the WinePress Publishing website description of the book, "From bus drivers to teachers to administrators, there is no Christian, public school employee who can't have an influence for our Lord Jesus Christ if we allow Him to fill us and lead us." Amen to that! Recommend this book for your fellow Christian teachers in public schools and remember God is working on lives everywhere. His love is not bounded by classrooms or hallways-or laws or regulations. His message is universal, and God is a public Savior.
Do you know fellow Christian teachers in public schools? How do you remember to pray for or encourage them?
