STEP 1: From the homepage, click on the Students button.
STEP 2: Click on the Assign Courses link to the right of the student's name.
STEP 3: Click on the Create Custom Course button.
STEP 4: Click on the New Assignment button.
STEP 5: Title the project appropriately. Do not use special characters like colons or dashes.
STEP 6: Type your customized instructions in the large field.
STEP 7: Open a new tab in your browser. Thousands of free online tutorials are available on video sharing websites. Two of the most popular are YouTube and TeacherTube*. Use your favorite search engine and select the tutorial you feel most closely matches the concept you want to enhance.
STEP 8: Highlight and copy the video's URL (usually located on the right-hand side of the screen).
STEP 9: Return to the Switched-On Online tab.
STEP 10: Click on the Media Icon (the film strip next to the smiley face).
STEP 11: Paste the URL in the File/URL field and press Enter on your keyboard. Then, click Insert.
STEP 12: Choose Preview to test the link.
STEP 13: The tutorial should play when you click the arrow. Note: To exit, click on the X in the right corner of the preview screen. Do not use the back arrow or the X in the upper corner of your browser.

STEP 14: After you've closed the preview screen, click on Create Assignment. The tutorial assignment is now ready to be inserted into any customized course.

Steps to Create a Customized Course
STEP 1: Inside the Create Custom Subject Button, title the customized course and choose the appropriate subject.
STEP 2: Choose the appropriate grade level.
STEP 3: Scroll down to the appropriate unit titles and drag each unit in the course to the right column.
STEP 4: Click + next to the unit, where you deem the tutorial project is the most beneficial to your students. Then, drag and drop the new assignment or project inside the unit. Note: Customized assignments must be added before the course is assigned.
