Rock Rapids, IA (November 4, 2008) - Alpha Omega Publications®, a leading provider of Christian curricula, resources, and educational services, is pleased to announce two new user-friendly features for its web-based, Switched-On Online™ Christian school curriculum for grades 3-12. In addition to Switched-On Online's current benefits of media-rich content, tailor-made lessons, automatic grading, and lesson planning, Alpha Omega Publications has now made Switched-On Online a Christian school curriculum with options that include instant communication and flexible project functionality.
With Switched-On Online's new instant communication feature, Christian school teachers and students can communicate in real time with one another from anywhere in the program. The Switched-On Online message center indicator displays the number of unread messages and provides a visible alert on the left side of every screen. Students can easily send and receive messages from their teacher, even while completing a lesson assignment or taking a test.
A new project feature also allows Christian school students the functionality of using multiple file types to create and save their project work in Switched-On Online electives or core courses of Bible, history and geography, science, math, and language arts. Adobe® Flash® and Microsoft® Word, Excel®, and PowerPoint® are all possible format options that can be used by students when completing projects for classes. To assist students in learning, Christian school teachers can also use this new flexible project feature to create and assign their own favorite supplemental projects within the Switched-On Online framework.
