Can you believe it? The mid-point of the 2009-2010 school year is nearly upon us! This second semester brings new opportunity to enhance the course content you provide to your students. The Switched-On® product line allows creation of additional electives through use of the customization features. Using the drag-and-drop functionality of the Create button (found in the Teacher's Classroom-Curriculum Setup link in Switched-On Schoolhouse® or the Create Custom Course button in Switched-On Online®) will yield more electives from which your students can choose to earn credit in the second semester. These courses would be appropriate for the following students:

• Students who desire specific concentration in subjects in which they are interested,

• Students who need to round out their credit requirements, and

• Seniors who need additional credits to graduate.

Developing customized electives requires research within the Scope and Sequence. It also requires time, which is limited for many teachers. The following list of possible customized courses is provided so that you will be able to spend that extra time with your students!
