According to School Superintendent Gail Pope in Manassas, Virginia, our children are "born for another time." An August 28, 2008, a Washington Post article written by Jennifer Buske quoted Pope: "We need to decide what's worth keeping [in the classroom] and what needs to be abandoned if we are going to prepare students for the 21st century. We will not confine our children to our learning because they were born for another time." The article also cited critical thinking, problem solving, and technological skills as key components to the 21st century classroom.

At Alpha Omega Publications, we wholeheartedly concur with Superintendent Pope! This is exactly what we had in mind when we released our first version of Switched-on Schoolhouse® in 1997. We hit the ground running into the 21st century, and today, we continue to sprint ahead in an effort to deliver a quality Christ-honoring curriculum for the 21st century student.
