Have you been sitting on your seats? You are not alone! Many AOP schools out there are under-utilizing concurrent user licenses (CULs), or "seats," as some would call them. There are so many advantages to buying seats as a way to utilize your online curriculum. A seat license provides an economical way of supporting a broader group of users. Seat licenses can support a large number of occasional users or a large number of full-time users; all you have to do is make sure that you match up the number of seats available to the level of usage expected. Each seat license is available 24/7/365 for your students to access their coursework online.
With that in mind, what can you do to make the most out of each seat that you have purchased, especially when they are not in use? How you answer this question can be pivotal to the success of your school. Utilizing CULs can help you deal with increased enrollment, expand your marketing power, better your ability to connect with the local community, improve branding and recognition of your school, and increase revenue to help your bottom line. Don't sit on your seats. Think outside of the box and find ways to give your school, your community, and your students a boost! Here are some ideas that you might helpful.
- Summer school (You can work with the local public schools to offer courses for a fee as well.)
- GED prep (does not include actual testing)
- ESL courses in the evening
- Reading programs
- Bible studies
- Vacation Bible school
- Tutoring service for math, science etc. for homeschool families and your students
- Extra credit electives
- Distance learning for traveling students, missionary kids, home school families etc.
- Homeschool groups that meet in the evenings
These are just a few ideas that might help you serve your community and grow your school. With an excellent Christ-centered curriculum that is available to your school and your students to be used anytime and almost anywhere, you have almost no limit to the creative ways that you can utilize it. We pray that you are able to go to the next level and introduce Christ-centered teaching to more students than ever before.
