Alpha Omega Publications is proud to announce its latest addition to the award-winning Horizons curriculum - Horizons Preschool! This flexible preschool program both complements and introduces other Horizons products. Your preschoolers will develop an academic foundation that will help them to be successful in kindergarten with this flexible and comprehensive curriculum.

Horizons Preschool is based upon the most perfect source available, the Bible. Lessons begin with a Bible concept and flow into activities and academic subjects including social studies, language arts, math, phonics, and science. Arts and crafts, music, story times, field trips, and other exciting learning activities enhance the student lessons. Horizons Preschool helps students gain the important knowledge that God is the beginning of all things. It gives them a perspective of the world unlike any other way.

The Horizons Preschool program is adaptable to either a daycare setting or the traditional school classroom. Five lessons are provided per week. New concepts are introduced on days 1, 3, and 5 of the week. Days 2 and 4 have activities that expand and further practice those concepts. Because the curriculum is flexible, you can teach the lessons on any number of days you choose and still be successful. A variety of teaching methods are provided.

Four distinctive components are included in the Horizons Preschool Program:

1. Student Workbooks - contains 180 consumable student lessons that are separated into two 4-color, perfect bound books with perforated pages for easy tear out.

2. Teacher's Guides - divided into two coil bound books containing a detailed daily lesson planner that lists activities.

3. Resource Packet - includes full-color Teaching Aids and Black Line Masters for reproduction. The Black Line Masters include Memory Verse Cards, an Alphabet Puzzle, and other black lines for art and crafts. The Teaching Aids consist of Flashcards and colored pictures of animals, body systems, and other items found in nature that are used to demonstrate and illustrate lesson concepts.

4. Sing Along Music CD - includes memorable songs that reinforce key topic areas discussed in the lessons. An optional Horizons Preschool Multimedia Set is also available and consists of videos, CDs, and software that fit the lesson themes.
