According to School Superintendent Gail Pope in Manassas, Virginia, our children are "born for another time." An August 28, 2008, a Washington Post article written by Jennifer Buske quoted Pope: "We need to decide what's worth keeping [in the classroom] and what needs to be abandoned if we are going to prepare students for the 21st century.
