Computer Adaptive Online Assessment
Alpha Omega Publications (AOP) is excited to provide a brand new testing service to our schools that opens up an entirely new perspective in achievement testing. This state-aligned online test, known as the MAP test, is provided by the Northwest Evaluation Association and is used by more than 2,400 school districts and educational partners nationwide. The test accurately assesses each student in reading, mathematics, and language.
MAP's computer adaptive nature allows the test questions to automatically adjust to the academic level of each student, providing a testing opportunity unique to each individual student. While taking the test, the student is presented with material of varying levels of difficulty. Once enough data is colleted to determine the difficulty level at which a student can perform, the test ends, and an overall score is determined.
