When the new symbol was announced in June, curriculum developers for the company quickly went to work to integrate this replacement to MyPyramid into a number of its Bible-based, online health, science, and fitness courses for Christian schools.

The MyPlate icon will replace the familiar food pyramid as the government's primary food group symbol and as an easy-to-understand visual cue to help consumers adopt healthy eating habits consistent with the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, according to the USDA.
