AOP Announces Winners of Inaugural Christian School Teacher of the Year Awards
Posted on Thursday, April 18th, 2019
To recognize and celebrate teachers who make a difference in the lives of a child or young adult every day, AOP launched its inaugural Christian School Teacher of the Year Awards earlier this year.
AOP invited educators to nominate a colleague or share their own story to kick off the selection process. Once the deadline passed, a panel of judges selected Mary Jo Newton of Trinity Christian School in Lubbock, Texas, as the teacher who best used AOP curriculum in unique and beneficial ways to inspire students to find their path, glorify God, and reach their greatest potential.
“I am very humbled to have been selected,” Newton said. “My greatest joy is found in my students and in seeing them learn and feel a sense of accomplishment. This award is the icing on the cake, so to speak.”
As our first place winner, Newton earned a $150 Visa® gift card, as well as an AOP gift pack and a $250 scholarship for Trinity Christian.
AOP also awarded four finalists with an AOP gift pack:
Advance Learning Center/Academy, St. Marys, Georgia
Charity Christian Academy, Hutchinson, Kansas
Landmark Christian Academy, Texarkana, Texas
Fairfield Christian School, Fairfield, California
Thank you to all the teachers who were nominated and, even more so, for dedicating their lives to Christian education. Please join us in congratulating all the winners of our Christian School Teacher of the Year Awards.Previous post Next post
